amine is built with a minimal-data philosophy. We collect as little as possible and store even less. This policy explains what data exists, where it lives, and who can see it.
amine (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent anime and manga discovery platform. The service is accessible at amine.watch and any subdomains operated by us.
amine does not currently require an account. There are no sign-up forms, no email fields, and no password storage. If you contact us (e.g. via a DMCA notice), we collect only the information you voluntarily send us — typically a name and email address — solely to respond to your inquiry.
All watchlist data, continue-watching progress, reading progress, bookmarks, and preferences (title language, install-prompt dismissal) are stored exclusively in your browser’s localStorage. This data never leaves your device. We cannot read it, back it up, or recover it if you clear your browser storage.
When you use amine, standard web server logs may be generated by our hosting providers (Vercel for the frontend, Cloudflare for the API gateway). These logs may include:
These logs are retained for a short period for security and debugging purposes only. We do not use them for profiling, advertising, or analytics.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party analytics or advertising SDK. There are no tracking pixels or fingerprinting scripts on this site.
amine does not set any first-party tracking cookies. The service worker and PWA manifest may cause your browser to cache assets locally for performance — this is not a cookie and contains no personal information.
Third-party content embedded on the site (e.g. YouTube trailers via an iframe) may set their own cookies. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of those services directly.
amine fetches anime and manga metadata from the following public APIs. When your browser or our gateway makes requests to these services, their own privacy policies apply:
All requests to upstream streaming providers are proxied through our Cloudflare Worker gateway. Your IP address is not forwarded to those providers.
Because we store almost nothing server-side, there is very little to retain. Infrastructure logs are purged automatically by our hosting providers on their standard schedules (typically 30–90 days). Contact emails are deleted once the inquiry is resolved.
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights including access, correction, erasure, and portability of personal data. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests can be satisfied by clearing your own browser’s localStorage. For anything else, contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
amine is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of amine after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
For privacy-related questions or requests, open an issue on our GitHub repository or reach out via the contact method listed there.
